drum and bass music genre and proposal

for my music magazine I'm going to use the genre of drum and bass (with elements of the genres of house and dubstep include), named "total dnb" because the genre a huge fan base of mainly male teens aged around 16-24, either festival goers or clubbers. with a huge boom of drum and bass music in the last couple years there is a gap in the market for a drum and bass magazine.
the magazine will be sold monthly and will reflect the music in that seasons, so in the summer it will reflect the festival season and in the winter months it will reflect the club nights and gigs that are coming up. the magazine will be sold cheaply of £1.99 because the target audience wouldn't want to spend the normal magazine prices and the cheapness will be an attraction. the magazine will be handheld sized for ease and audience friendly.
the content will include new acts, popular events and news of the genre. with radio dj's like Annie mac and common brands like UKF and hospital records controlling the genre and the dance scene and allows the industry to grow in the ways they want, with new artists coming through every year and make a name for themselves as talented dj's. my magazine with focus on the new up and coming stars of the genre.
the front cover will be realistic and not too over the top because the magazine will let the music speak louder than the images. with normal dj's and the audience that will appear throughout. for my front page i will put an up and coming dj's who look professional and natural in a urban environment, i will do this by taking a a wide shot in a town or city landscape with the artists in the foreground. with the fonts blod and easy to read and colours of bold reds and blacks, this would be eye friendly and would attract new readers.
the cover line will be about the new drum and bass acts of next year, probably saying "look out they're coming". the plugs and puffs will be advertising the audience to the information inside, which will include genre news, events and famous acts.
the content page will give short information to attract the audience to certain stories and make it easier to find the information needed. the layout will be simple and easy to read with bold headings and the more important stories nearer the op of the page.
the double page spread will have the same artist as on the front cover because it will bring a fan base, also they should have more attention brought to them and to give the audience more of a insight into the background and will entertain the audience because it will have interesting and funny stories. this will give a connection for the audience and make the artist seem more normal.
